Black and Gold…

Black and gold are two of my favorite color combinations especially when it comes to accessories! The weather has been insane here in NC complete with a snow storm and losing our power for two days. It has definitely brought back memories of past winters while growing up in PA! We are so lucky that it passed in only a few days knowing how bad the weather has been in other parts of the country. It was definitely a good reminder of how lucky we are for the small things in life, like hot water and electricity sometimes we get caught up in life and forget how blessed we are!

Since it was so cold I was able to break out some of my winter wear that I love but haven’t worn in quite some time now!
This vest is one of my favorite pieces, it’s faux fur which I love and I found it while shopping with one of my girl friends Emily about a year and a half ago at the BCBC outlet in PA. I have only worn it a couple of times because it definitely makes a statement, but I think it’s gorgeous! I love the coloring of the material and that the length is longer so that it covers the tush area!

These boots are awesome because they are very comfortable, but they are versatile depending on how you want to style them. They are long enough to go over the knee and are very warm in the winter or you can fold them over and use the button, or you could just scrunch them down below the knee. I paired the vest with a long sleeved black sweater and leggings which are matt black in real life, but don’t photograph well due to the lycra it creates a flash back. I also wore my favorite purse of all time that I got for Christmas and some of my favorite gold accessories.
